Our cabin located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in an area called the "Isothermal Belt" at an approximate altitude of 1000 ft. The weather year round is excellent since it gets neither too cold in the winter nor too hot in the summer. On average, winter temperatures are at a low of 30° F at night with highs between 60° - 70° F in the daytime with occasional snow showers. In the summer expect highs in the 80’s and cool 60° F nights.
There are plenty of activities nearby such as: fishing, hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, skiing and sightseeing. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock are only a 20 minute drive away, The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than a 45 minute drive, and the Smoky Mountains National Park is about 1.5 hours away.
There is access to the Green River within walking distance from the cabin (right next to the playground) and a natural creek that runs the length of the entire property. Wild turkey, deer and other wildlife are seen almost daily strolling through the property.
Fully functional kitchen (equipped with modern appliances)
The cabin can sleep up to 6 adults and 2 children: there is a queen size bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom, a set of bunk beds in the third bedroom, and a futon couch in the living room that opens up into a queen size bed.
